If you need to run any other version of Windows on your Mac then the M1 Macs aren’t for you and you would be better off sticking with an Intel-powered Mac. You can theoretically run ARM-version of Windows on M1 Macs (via virtualisation solutions like Parallels Desktop), but to do so you need a preview version of Windows for Arm, which you can only get from the Windows Insider website. If you need to test for any other platform, using these Macs could prove a problem.
